Vision Disorders Information
Vision Disorders can be varied and caused by a number of different factors, and some of them may not even be directly related to your eyes.
There's a complex system at work inside your head that brings you vision, and it involves dozens of parts of the eye itself; the Optic Nerve, which is the cluster of nerves that deliver the light signals received by your eyes to the visual cortex of the brain; and the brain itself, which is responsible for interpreting those signals and “showing” you the picture that results.
To Protect Your Eyesight, you should schedule checkups with an Eye Care Professional or
Eye Care Specialist at least once a year, eat a healthy diet full of leafy greens and colored Vegetables for Eye Health (highly concentrated sources of vitamin A and beta carotene), and possibly even take Vitamin A and Vitamin E Eye Supplements if you feel like your diet is lacking in either of those critical nutrients.
At the first sign of any of the following vision disorders, schedule an appointment with your Eye Care Professional or
Eye Care Specialist.
As there are so many factors in vision, the issue may be serious.
